My name is Amy and I am a sophomore at Mound Westonka High School. I like to stay busy with sports—(ice) hockey, running track, and cross country—and after school activities such as Deca (developing entrepreneurial skills), Destination Imagination (inspiring innovation and leadership), and Girls Design the World.
I decided to join Girls Design the World because of my interest in the fields of science and engineering, as well as my desire to work with girls who have similar interests. Girls Design the World is a wonderful opportunity for me to connect with women in the fields that I hope to go into, and with other girls working to make a difference in our environment. Together, I hope that we can work to make a difference not only in our community, but communities around the globe.
