My name is Anna and I’m a sophomore at Washburn High School. For years, I participated in GEMS—Girls in Engineering, Math, and Science. Currently, I am a part of my school’s FIRST Robotics Competition team, and am taking a class through Project Lead the Way (PLTW), an organization promoting engineering. I enjoy participating in Girls Design the World because I love to create things, help others, have fun with those who share my interests, meet new people, and explore cultures different from my own. I consider my strongest STEAM subjects to be science and engineering. I think it would be cool to develop in the field of technology, because it’s awesome to see something you designed come to life.
